IIT Gandhinagar Ph.D admissions Open

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar is looking for bright and dedicated young scholars interested in research to join us as Ph.D scholars. Currently the Institute offer Ph.D in following disciplines of Engineering. IIT Gandhi also offers a Start Early PhD Fellowship with additional financial support for exceptionally qualified undergraduate students wishing to start on a direct PhD program.

 Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and Cognitive Science, English, philosophy, Psychology and Sociology.

Eligibility: At least 55% of marks in MA/M.Sc/B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent degree in appropriate branches. Above mentioned eligibility criteria is minimum and the discipline may use higher cut off level for short listing. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories would be eligible for relaxations in the selection criteria.


Residential Requirement: Ph.D program is fully residential. the regular candidates will have to stay on campus. For external candidate the minimum residential requirement is normally one year. For candidates under Faculty Development program, currently 2 year of residency requirement after completion of 1 year of advanced admission is followed.
